Planting History
From 1997 to 1999, the 21-acres of raw hillside land that would become Le Cadeau vineyard were “cleared”. In 1999, the original 6-acres of vineyard were planted, followed by an additional 4-acre planting in 2002. In 2006, we added 3.75-acres, along with 1.25-acres of vineyard planted on our neighbor’s property adjacent to our north boundary. With the most recent 2008 addition, Le Cadeau Vineyard now totals 15.5-acres, plus the 1.25-acre “Rose Vineyard”. In total, we farm slightly under 17-acres with over 22,000 Pinot Noir grapevines… and one Sauvignon Blanc plant that has an identity crisis.
