In
1997, Tom and Deb Mortimer purchased 28 rocky acres
in the Willamette Valley - the heart of Oregon's
famed wine country.
Starting with raw land, the Mortimer's
cleared for 2-years and planted the vineyard in
1999. The
first Le Cadeau wine was produced from the 2002
vintage.
Le
Cadeau Pinot Noir is the result of meticulous
"winegrowing" and "winemaking" practices. The
vineyard is located on a high-elevation volcanic
basalt hillside, and is often described as Oregon's
rockiest vineyard.
From this
extraordinary place comes very distinctive Oregon
Pinot Noir.
